Tsuruya-san

Such a gorgeous figure!

Out of my whole collection Tsuruya-san in her bunny costume has to be ranking pretty damn high in my favourites, I luckily was able to fix a stubborn paint transfer on her ear and she’s shooting really well now!

I’m an amatuer at figure shoots, I rustled this setup out of my rear end this week after speaking to a few people and reading some very good blog posts here and there.

Setup consists of;

2 lamp stands with 32 watt energy saving full spectrum bulbs.

1 worktop daylight magnifying craft lamp.

1 laptop table.

2 A2 sheets of white foam board.

An A1 sheet of cepia poster card.

String, crisp box, A2 sheets of tracing paper, foil containers, tape (light diffusers).

A vintage tripod (complete with useless external flash controller and light detector.

An array of boxes big and small for elevation and proppig stuff up with.

Sony Alpha DSLR-A350.

Without further ado, here are the results!

This is hopefully the revival post for the blog, so crit, comments and questions welcome!

The Heart of British Food

•February 18, 2009 • 3 Comments

The other day I had the most insatiable craving for a large plate of home made chips. I like them nice and crispy, fluffy inside, and normally with the skins left on for extra flavour. Truly the heart of british food. So I broke out the deep fat fryer (no chip pans anymore :(… ) and got going, soon ending up with this mouth watering lot;

How many of you guys outside of britain have had properly made british chips? Did you like them? (None of those fake things they sell you at fast food places.)

Obviously not quite the most healthy of foods, but goes well with lots of stuff, sometimes with cheese/mayo etc etc, but myself normally with just salt + vinegar. How do you eat yours?

I’ve taken to eating mine with curry, in place of rice or naan. I think I may have cut up a few too many potatoes though, I was stuffed afterwards.

(Pardon the photo quality, still on my camera phone, and there was steam everywhere, damned deep fat fryer.)

Misao Buttons are Back

•February 9, 2009 • Leave a Comment

Found Misao buttons on Danny’s over a year ago, to add some fun to the blog this favourite of mine just had to be added.

Clicky here, and press one of the DL’s at the bottom. The buttons correspond to the keys on your keyboard, and can add for some serious shenanigans when drunk….

Enjoy, posted on DC too.

The Witnessing of a Miracle

The god of food has surely smiled down upon me this fine morning. As such I was provided with the fruits of enjoyment you see here.

I, as such took the liberty of doing the correct and proper thing with this, O so awesome gift.

What a nice way to start off the day. I shall remember this event for the rest of my waking days. *claps hands* “ありがとうございました”

You guys have such revalations with food also?
